Miss E is underweight. And now she eats in 'spurts'. Crapola.
She's always been slender. That is to say below the 3% line, heck someone's got to be there. She was born below the 3% line, and will probably always be below the 3% line. That's not the problem, but in the last 3 months she's grown more in length than she did in weight. Grrrrrrrr. Now not only do I try to feed her every three hours, I have to add butter, cream and cheese to everything. I was hoping to be able to start giving her the same food that Guitar Man and I eat, but that will not happen if I have to add butter to everything. Personally I'm ready for the pediatrician to say 'Lets see if she can tolerate peanut butter.' At least then I can give here peanut butter sandwiches. But what really gets my goat is the information packet the doctor gave me. That stupid stack of papers makes me feel like I'm being talked down to. And that is crapola, so I shredded them. And you know what? I felt better after doing it.

I'd love to say that I've been incredibly creative, crafty and productive. But I can't. I think Miss E is cutting teeth. She drools all over everything, won't eat until she is starving and thinks that chewing on my knees is the thing to do. Even now as I type she's fussing at me for not holding her. Thus thus last week very little got done. (At least that's going to be my excuse.) But I'd like to report: I actually did some scrapbooking last night! In fact I only have one more page left and the book will be complete!

One day...
One day I will find my camera and show everyone that I actually have been crafty this week. I made a fabric bucket and started crocheting a new project (the cold weather made me do it). But Guitar Man took my camera out with us one day and now it is somewhere in my car. I don't mind Guitar Man using my camera (he doesn't have one) but it really irks me that he took it from its spot and didn't put it back!

Crafty Goals 2010
It's 2010 and everyone around me is asking 'what's your new years resolution?' Is it horrible if I don't have resolutions for the new year, how about just some goals? Specifically crafty goals.
A couple weeks ago Miss E starting cutting teeth and taking real naps in the afternoon. She used to sleep 15-20 minutes at a time. Now it's up to 3 hours in the afternoon! And she still sleeps through the night! But now I find I have time in the afternoon to spend in my much neglected craft room. Unfortunately with nothing to do. So I figure if I make some crafty goals, I'll be more likely to get things done and I won't sit in my craft room saying 'This is great! I have time to do whatever I want! Now what should I do?.
So some crafty goals, some general, some more specific:
Spend at least 4 hours a week being crafty
Make a eye spy quilt for Miss E (this will be a Christmas gift)
Learn to sew a skirt for myself
Have a handmade Christmas (that's 16 gifts)
Make an Amy Butler Weekender Bag
Finish the plastic canvas Tardis (this is for Guitar Man)
Practice using my free motion quilting foot
Finish The Disneyland vacation scrapbook
Start a scrapbook for Miss E
